Sally Baird Moorehead (Kling)

Sally Baird Moorehead (Kling)

“Next year we’ll really be seniors and I guess we’ll have to realize that
we’re big girls now. It makes me feel so good to look back in life and see
how far we’ve actually come. But then we have to look ahead. It’s kinda
sad to not know where or what we’re going to be or do, but we can still
have our hopes, dreams, and ambitions.”
Written by Sally in Margaret Pittman’s 1967 yearbook

Sally Baird Morehead Kling was a fantastic friend to many, and she achieved much in this life. After finishing at Ole Miss, she taught elementary school in a number of places, and being an adventurer, this even included a stretch in Okinawa. She moved to Mobile and married a wonderful man, Carl Kling, and together they touched so many lives. Sally was a very sincere Christian and loved her church. Her last years were spent working as a secretary in her church and her ministry there impacted many, especially young girls who were dealing with difficult issues. Sally can be remembered for her quick laugh, tender heart, love for others, and strength and courage throughout her battle with cancer. She would want to be remembered foremost, however, for her love of the Lord and for finishing this life in a way that honored God and was a Christian witness to all those who surrounded her.
